Club News

The course remains open.  As a reminder from 6am-3pm only Retirees, Dependent Members, and SWS employees are eligible to play golf.

If you are in quarantine, on medical time, or working from home, the golf course (Including the Range and Chipping Green) is off limits from 6am to 3pm.

As a reminder the course is for members only.  There are no more walk-in guests allowed using the starter or foretees for that type of booking.

We have built 9 hole tee times starting on the front and back starting at 3pm to help accommodate those who want to play after work.

Please do not make this more challenging that it already is and follow these instructions to the letter.

Below is the latest from our grounds/facilities directors Troy Thompson and Jim Platt.  Both are working very closely with Gardening and Recreation to ensure that we remain as safe as possible while out on the course and around our facilities.  Please read below.

  • No water coolers are on the course, please bring your own drinks and snacks.
  • Clubhouse is closed.
  • Flagsticks are not to be touched and must stay in the hole (we are working on a cup design change for easier ball retrieving)
  • All bunker rakes have been removed (use your feet to smooth out the sand and place your ball no nearer the hole)
  • All ball washers have been drained and players should not use them.  You may want to use a wet or disinfectant towel.
  • Club washers have been removed from the driving range
  • On-course restrooms will remain open and disinfecting supplies should be available very soon.
  • Grounds Crew will wear gloves when handling driving range golf balls, changing cups and handling flagsticks.
  • If you have disinfecting wipes, or spray, at your house bring to the course and use liberally (easier to grab some wipes and put in a Ziploc so they stay fresh)
  • Do not share golf buggies (walk if you must, or better yet rent a buggy from the starter; Gardening are disinfecting the buggies after each use)
  • Wear your golf glove, or towel, when handling the driving range ball buckets and use disinfectant on your glove when finished handling the buckets
